Winter Schoolhouse Wedding in Fairview, Pa

Chris and Jen hosted their Schoolhouse Wedding on Leap Day during a freezing cold winter afternoon. The couple held both their ceremony & reception in the schoolhouse room on the first level of their venue with the cocktail hour happening on the lower level in the lounge. Both bride & groom got ready at for their Schoolhouse Wedding right on location with the bridal party in the lower level and the groom using the first level. Our team provided Complete Wedding Day coverage with Wedding Photography, Wedding Videography, and Wedding DJ accompanied by Day of Coordination. While the space was small, the love was big. Every moment of this winter wedding was full of fun and laughter.

A Couple with a Sense of Humor

I knew as soon as we met with Chris & Jen to talk about their Schoolhouse Wedding plans that they were going to be tough to top when it came to the catergory of fun. Both Chris and Jen kept each other and us laughing the entire time. I’ve never met a couple before who both have such mischievous glimmers in their eyes. With a wink, Chris filled us in on some of his wedding day plans that I knew would knock is guests off their chairs. I was very excited that the couple chose our Disc Jockey team to head up their sound when I heard about their music selection for the ceremony and reception. We began with fun-filled getting ready photos and stayed with the couple for after dusk photos outside of the schoolhouse wedding venue. Not a moment was dull. This couple really knows how to bring the party.

Hilarious Wedding Moments

The non-stop fun began as soon as we arrived. During getting ready photos both bride and groom cracked jokes, laughed, and spread joy and excitement. The groom got ready on the first level with half of our team while the bride got ready in the lower level area. Things really got rolling with the ceremony, setting the mood for their guests. Bridesmaids danced down the aisle to “My Milkshake”. Not to be outdone, the groom donned leopard skin, stripper pants over his tuxedo. He made is ceremonial entrance to “Sexy and I Know It”, ripping the pants off after a quick twirl around the bridal party and sending the Officiate into a tizzy. The couple’s unique Unity Ceremony was adorable. Each family member poured their favorite candy into a large candy jar to blend it together. Finally, the couple ended the ceremony by the bride dipping the groom during their first kiss as husband and wife.  This is one wedding that will be hard to top.

Vivid Colors

The other thing that really stood out at Chris & Jen’s Schoolhouse Wedding were the vivid colors, which perfectly matched the couple’s larger than life personalities. The decorated with bright coral and a gorgeous deep navy blue. Rhinestones glittered on the bride’s shoes and snowflake clasp of her fur wrap. The sola wood bouquets were cheerful. In addition, the freezing cold temperature brought out the brightest blue skies we could have asked for. The brief time we were able to be outside was well worth it.
